There is no website that controls a Fire TV. Amazon offers no web remote, and a Fire TV only takes commands from an app paired on the same Wi‑Fi with a code shown on the TV. Pages advertising an “online Firestick remote” lead to an app. Kliky pairs with a four-digit code.
- Join the same Wi‑Fi
- Pick the Fire TV
- Enter the code
Why a web page cannot do it
A Fire TV does not listen to the internet for remote commands. It accepts them only on your local network, and only from an app that has completed pairing with a code on the TV screen. A browser tab cannot discover devices on your network or complete that pairing.
This is different from Roku, which exposes a simple local control service that browser extensions can use. See Roku remote online for that case.
What works: a phone on the same Wi‑Fi
- Connect your phone to the same Wi‑Fi as the Fire TV.
- Open Kliky and pick the Fire TV.
- Type the four-digit code that appears on the TV.
You get navigation, playback keys, a keyboard and voice search. Amazon’s own Fire TV app works the same way after you sign in with an Amazon account.
From a computer
There is no official Fire TV remote for Windows or Mac. If the reason you wanted a computer is typing, pair a Bluetooth keyboard with the Fire TV instead: see mouse and keyboard for Firestick.
If the Fire TV is not on Wi‑Fi
Nothing on a network can reach it. Use the TV’s own remote through HDMI‑CEC or the hotspot method in connect a Firestick to Wi‑Fi without a remote.
