Remote for Toshiba Fire TV
In the United States, Toshiba smart TVs are Fire TV models with Amazon’s software built in. Elsewhere Toshiba also sells TVs with Android TV, Google TV and VIDAA.
A Toshiba Fire TV is controlled like any Fire TV device. Kliky shows the Fire TV layout: the navigation ring, Home, Back, Menu, playback, volume and power, plus a keyboard and voice search. The first time you connect, the TV shows a code and you confirm it in the app.
Lost Toshiba Fire TV remote
Toshiba Fire TVs have one physical button, usually under the bottom edge. It turns the TV on and off and switches inputs, and nothing more. With the TV on Wi‑Fi, a phone on the same network does the rest.
If the TV is offline, see connect a Firestick to Wi‑Fi without a remote; the same methods apply to Fire TV smart TVs, and these TVs also accept a wired Ethernet connection.
Replacement and universal remotes for Toshiba Fire TV
An Alexa Voice Remote works with the Fire TV interface. Remotes made for Fire TV smart TVs add channel and input keys. Unlike a Fire TV Stick, the TV has an infrared sensor, so universal remotes that list Toshiba can control it. See Firestick remote replacement and universal remotes for Firestick.
Toshiba TVs with Android TV or VIDAA
Outside the US, a Toshiba TV may run Android TV, Google TV or VIDAA. Those accept a phone remote over the home network too; Android TV and Google TV models show a code on the screen, as described on the Android TV remote page.
