Remote for Insignia Fire TV
Insignia is Best Buy’s house brand. Most Insignia smart TVs sold in recent years are Fire TV models with Amazon’s software built in.
An Insignia Fire TV is controlled like any Fire TV device. Kliky shows the Fire TV layout: the navigation ring, Home, Back, Menu, playback, volume and power, plus a keyboard and voice search. The first time you connect, the TV shows a code and you confirm it in the app.
Lost Insignia Fire TV remote
Insignia Fire TVs have one physical button, usually under the bottom edge. It turns the TV on and off and switches inputs, and nothing more. With the TV on Wi‑Fi, a phone on the same network does the rest.
If the TV is offline, see connect a Firestick to Wi‑Fi without a remote; the same methods apply to Fire TV smart TVs, and these TVs also accept a wired Ethernet connection.
Replacement and universal remotes for Insignia Fire TV
An Alexa Voice Remote works with the Fire TV interface. Remotes made for Fire TV smart TVs add channel and input keys. Unlike a Fire TV Stick, the TV has an infrared sensor, so universal remotes that list Insignia can control it. See Firestick remote replacement and universal remotes for Firestick.
Insignia Roku TV remote
Some Insignia TVs are Roku TVs instead. They show the Roku logo on the Home screen and are controlled like any Roku TV; everything on the Roku remote page applies, and any Roku TV remote works as a replacement.
