Kliky keeps disconnecting or the TV stops responding

A dropped connection is almost always the Wi‑Fi between the phone and the TV. Keep both on the same network, restart the TV, and check that the phone is not switching to mobile data or another network.

Updated

Common causes

  • The phone hops between two network names from the same router, or to mobile data when Wi‑Fi is weak.
  • The TV goes to sleep and leaves the network.
  • The router gave the TV a new address after a restart.
  • A VPN turned itself on.

What to do

  1. Unplug the TV for a minute and reopen Kliky.
  2. Stay on one network name on the phone; forget the guest network if the phone keeps joining it.
  3. Move the router or TV if the signal at the TV is weak.
  4. Turn on the TV’s option to stay connected in standby if you want Kliky to wake it.

Buttons respond late

Lag points to weak Wi‑Fi at the TV. A wired Ethernet connection to the TV removes it.
