1. Same Wi‑Fi
On the TV: Menu › Network shows the network name. It has to match the phone’s. Turn off VPNs and avoid guest networks.
2. Pair again
In the app choose your TV from the device list and start pairing. The TV displays a four-digit code; type it into the phone. If the TV is in the list but shows as unavailable, delete it from the app and add it again.
3. Restart the TV
Unplug the TV, hold the power button on the TV for 5 to 10 seconds, and plug it back in. Wait for SmartCast Home to load fully before opening the app; a TV that is still starting up does not answer.
4. Phone permissions
On iPhone: Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network › Vizio on. On Android: allow Nearby devices.
Use another remote app meanwhile
- Install Kliky from the App Store or Google Play.
- Connect the phone to the same Wi‑Fi as the TV.
- Pick the TV in the list and type the four-digit code the TV shows.
