Any infrared universal remote that lists Sony controls a Bravia’s power, volume, channels, inputs and menus after you enter a Sony code or run its code search. It will not do voice search. If the TV is on Wi‑Fi, your phone works with no codes: open Kliky, pick the TV and type the six-digit code shown on the screen.

Program a universal remote for a Sony TV
- Turn the TV on.
- Hold the setup button on the universal remote until its light stays on, then press the TV button.
- Type a Sony code from the remote’s own code list and test Power and Volume.
- If none works, run the remote’s automatic code search until the TV turns off.
Codes are defined by the maker of the universal remote, so use the list for your remote’s model.
Sony’s own voice remote
Recent Bravia TVs with Google TV ship with a Bluetooth voice remote. A replacement is paired in the TV’s settings under Remotes & Accessories. Infrared still handles basic keys, which is why universal remotes work.
One remote for the TV and a streaming stick
Turn on Bravia Sync (HDMI‑CEC) and the Sony remote’s arrows and Enter also steer a Roku or Fire TV Stick on that input, while the stick’s remote can switch the TV on and change volume.
The option with no codes: your phone
A Sony Google TV or Android TV accepts a phone as a remote over Wi‑Fi. Connect both to the same network, pick the TV in Kliky and enter the code from the screen. You get a keyboard and voice search as well, and the same app controls the other TVs in the house.
