Kliky and TV Remote – Universal Control solve the same first problem: the remote is lost and the phone is in your hand. Both find the TV on your Wi‑Fi and give you a touchpad, a keyboard and voice search. The difference is what happens after that. Kliky also sends your phone screen, photos and videos to the TV and suggests what to watch. Their listing stays with the remote and prices it lower by the week.

What Kliky does that the TV Remote listing does not mention

Mirrors your phone screen to the TV. Kliky has Screen Mirroring. The App Store description of TV Remote – Universal Control lists a touchpad, keyboard, voice search and channel launching; mirroring is not on that list.

Casts photos and videos. Pick from your gallery and play it on the TV. Their listing does not mention casting.

Suggests what to watch. AI Advisor takes a mood or a few tags and returns titles with IMDb rating and running time. Their listing has no comparable feature.

Stays in the Dynamic Island. While Kliky is connected, a Live Activity keeps volume, mute, play and back at the top of your iPhone. Their listing does not mention a Live Activity.

Privacy and data handling

Kliky needs no account. It talks to the TV over your home Wi‑Fi. The privacy policy lists what we collect and for how long.

We have not reviewed how TV Remote – Universal Control handles data, so we make no claim about it here. Its App Store page carries Apple’s privacy label and a link to its policy; read both before you install.

Verdict: who should pick which
